Today at E3, Nintendo revealed a new trailer for the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In development since at least 2013, this is the most we’ve seen of the latest in the Legend of Zelda series. Well guys, it seems our days of waiting are coming to a middle, with release set to be ‘sometime in 2017’

Taking place in an open world, Breath of the Wild is to be a departure from the classic format with less focus on dungeon crawling. Last February, in an interview with Game Reactor longtime series producer Eiji Aonuma said the world is as big as can be managed by the system. “A huge, seamlessly unfolding world is something that can’t be achieved if the hardware isn’t advanced enough. Ever since we made the very first generation of Legend of Zelda games though, we’ve had as large a world as can be realized with the hardware, so you could say it was inevitable that we’ve now done the same with the new Wii U title.”
