Fallout 4 Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC

on

In response to the countdown timer that started the hype train yesterday, Bethesda’s offically confirmed the release of Fallout 4 with a nostalgia-laced cinematic trailer.

The game we’ve been waiting for since 2010 is finally coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the release date as of now still unknown. According to Bethesda’s website, the game is already available for pre-order, meaning that the actual game release can’t be too far in the future.

What we do know is completely based on the trailer itself:

  • The plot will take place in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • We’ll have a dog companion, which can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on mechanics.
  • Ron Perlman has returned as a voice actor. He’s done voice over work for each of the Fallout games so far, and can be heard in the trailer giving the quote, “War. War never changes.”
  • We might be getting an insider’s perspective on life before and during the nuclear war. The trailer’s poignant flashbacks to the hours preceding the disaster, coupled with the eerily realistic despairing tone of the radio announcer just might indicate that we’ll be seeing the Wasteland in a different way entirely.

Bethesda promises more information at the upcoming E3 conference.
