Throw a Party With These Five Gaming-Themed Foods and Drinks

GG95_LegendofZeldaMajorasMask-ChateauRomaniCOMP_zps2b5693621. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask – Chateau Romani

Majora’s Mask got a 3D remake – why not make a drink to go along with it? This is pretty simple to make if you’ve got a cocktail mixer and a fine grater, both of which are easily obtainable. As for the rest of the ingredients, it depends on where you live and how much you’re willing to search your local liquor stores.

  • 200ml/6.5 fl oz. Sweetened Almond Milk
  • 100ml/3.5 fl oz. Milk
  • 30ml/1 fl oz. Fresh Espresso
  • 35ml/1.2 fl oz. Amaretto
  • 30ml/1 fl oz. Morgan Spiced Rum
  • 30ml/1 fl oz. Licor 43 – Cuarenta Y Tres
  • 30ml/1 fl oz. Sugar Syrup
  • 35ml/1.2 fl oz. Fresh Cream
  • Whole Nutmeg
  • Ice

thejoining2. Dragon Age Franchise: The Joining

WARNING: Consult your physician before consuming. Side effects may include vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, whisperings from Old Gods, Darkspawn sensitivity,  and hallucinations.

  • 6 strawberries
  • 8oz cherry juice
  • 2oz white rum
  • 2oz pomegranate liqueur

Moon-Sugar-83. The Elder Scrolls: Moon Sugar

This one’s a little more complicated since you’re basically making candy, but you’ll be fine as long as you’re careful about it. The sumac might be a challenge to find, though – I suggest you hunt this down in your local grocery stores before gathering the other ingredients.

  • 1 cup vanilla, vanilla-cardamom, or lavender sugar (use standard white sugar only)
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp sumac (for the Secunda version only)
  • Vegetable oil (a flavorless oil like canola) or vegetable shortening
  • 1-2 Tbsp powdered sugar

LembasBreadThumb_zps350556f44. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor: Lembas

Feel free to eat more than one. I’m not sure if it’ll aid you in fighting orcs in the future, but it sure saves space if you plan on going backpacking. (Please pack more than lembas. I don’t think the rules work the same way in Regular-Earth.)

  • 6 TBSP butter or margarine, slightly softened
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 TBSP granulated sugar
  • ½ cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 TBSP heavy cream
  • Mallorn leaves

5. Bioshock Infinite: Devil’s Kiss and Possession

No, these drinks will neither burn your skin off nor allow you to take complete mental control over your electronics (although we’d all love the second option).

Devil’s Kiss Ingredients:

  • 25ml Spiced Rum
  • 25ml Chambord
  • 10ml Grenadine
  • 1 Lime
  • 50ml Ginger Beer
  • 50ml Cloudy Lemonade
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Cinnamon
  • 15ml Overproof Rum

Possession Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of Basil
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 25ml Sugar Syrup
  • 50ml Tanqueray Gin

Hungry yet? There aren’t many new gaming-themed foods and drinks on the Internet at the moment, but I thought I’d bring back a few oldies in honor of the new installments.
