Fans Release new Mega Man Game 6 Years in the Making

on

Mega Man has been in a bit of a slump lately. Capcom has halted development on all future titles in the franchise, and the only taste we can get of the blue bomber is in games like Super Smash Bros. or from kickstarted games like Mighty No. 9. Whatever shall we do without our man in blue? Fortunately, fans have the answer to this.

Mega Man: Revenge of the Fallen is a game six years in the making. It’s a new Mega Man game entirely fan created featuring 20 levels, 21 tank pieces, 10 upgrades, a hidden level, and of course a boss rush mode. There are also 3 hidden bounty hunters who pop in randomly in the 10 Robot Master stages. If you don’t, the next time you see them they’ll be harder! Check the video above for the trailer. It looks like they’re bringing back some fan favorites including Spark Man, Magnet Man, Centaur Man, and more!

As you can see, it looks hard as hell, as any true Mega Man game should be. Young people today just don’t know the hardships we had to go through in our games back in the day! In case you’re curious, look below for the Mega Man: Revenge of the Fallen 100% run done by RetroChallengeGamer!

If you’re interested in the title, you can find it at RPG Maker! Do it! You know you want to! Version 1.3 is up as of December 4th, and that includes all the maps and all the secrets. Watch the 100% run in its entirety if you’re still unsure about the game. There are a lot of interesting factoids in there was well!
