Sony Sells What’s Already Been Sold


Sometimes a good salesman needs to know when the product is sold. Fortunately, Sony is not one of them. In order to prepare us for the latest addition to the next generation of consoles. Yes, the PlayStation 4 is less than a month away from its release, so of course Sony is going to be pumping out plenty of advertisements so everyone can get excited. Released just a week ago, one such advertisement is labeled “The Perfect Day”.

How awesome is this commercial? It’s the perfect song to set to gratuitous explosions and violence, and it really shows off the idea of gaming being a social activity. He’s playing with his friend even while trying to kill him. Brilliant!

Another commercial has also been released, and this one hits right in the nostalgia. It takes us on a walk through our PlayStation memories starting with 1995: the year PlayStation first hit our homes. Some of the visuals might be a little confusing for some in the American audience as the fashion references may not exactly match what we remember, but keep in mind: This takes place in a flat in London. Either way, it’s still a fantastic trip through the nostalgia no doubt many of us feel for the past few generations of consoles.

Of course, you very well could be a part of the glorious PC Master Race, and I can’t necessarily blame you. Still… there is something compelling about consoles in this humble gamer’s opinion…
