If you've been following @Armed_Gamer on Twitter, this will be no surprise to you, but here's the big announcement: Starting March 2 and running to and maybe even beyond midnight March 6, an intrepid team of gamers will be gaming live and non-stop for your entertainment, and more importantly for Child's Play Charity!

For the past month I have been assembling the team, the know-how, and the guests to make this what I hope to be an incredible event. I am now in a position where I am comfortable announcing the event to the public.

The plan is to play Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 to achieve 100% completion in the games + DLC. If we succeed before the midnight release of Mass Effect 3, we will play the demo. To keep things interesting we will occasionally poll you, the audience, on Facebook and our Live Chat for what decisions we make. Do we save Ashely or Kaiden? Are we human supremicists, or are we fighting for our equal place among the other species? Do we prefer Pepsi or Coke? You decide!

On the day of the event, you can see the live stream right here at Armed Gamer or check us out on Twitch.tv. Spread the word, and let's make this a crazy event.

Periodically we will also get calls from some of the people who have worked on the franchise. I've been in touch with many of the faces behind the franchise, and the list of guests is growing. The official list and schedule is yet to come. Confirmed guests include Senior Designer Manveer Heir, Senior Environment Designer Boyd McKenzie, QA tester Thomas Abram, the voice of male Commander Shepard Mark Meer, and more! Here's the most up to date schedule of guests.

Remember the part where I said this was for charity? That's 100% true! For the next two weeks you will see a ChipIn widget on the side bar. That will be where you can donate to Child's Play, the charity founded by Tycho and Gabe of Penny Arcade. I am accepting no money directly. Instead, whenever you donate using that widget, the money goes straight to charity. How cool is that?
